Fareed started his career with TECOM Group in 2000 as an Account Manager in Dubai Internet City (DIC), and rose up the ranks to become Regional Sales Manager and eventually Director of Sales.
In 2005, Fareed was tasked to lead TECOM Group’s international business arm, SmartCity, as Chief Executive Officer to spearhead the development of two communities, SmartCity Malta and SmartCity Kochi. Within this capacity, Fareed managed the joint venture agreements with the local governments, and orchestrated steady progress for both projects despite the world-wide economic challenge at the time.
Fareed’s growing expertise and exceptional customers’ recognition, were further appreciated in 2013 when he became the Chief Commercial Officer for TECOM Group and took charge of all land sales and investor relations for all communities within the group’s portfolio.
A UAE national, he graduated from the UAE University of Al Ain with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and has completed the Senior Management Development Program at the Cranfield University in UK, as well as the International Directors Programme by INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France.
