Arif Abdulrahman Ahli

Director

Arif Abdulrahman Ahli is a Director on the Board. Arif also serves as the Executive Director of Budget and Planning Division in the Department of Finance of the Government of Dubai, a position he has held since 2011. He is also the Knowledge Ambassador at Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, a position he has held since 2014 and an auditor with the Ministry of Economy since 1993.

Arif has served in government for a number of years, working for Dubai Municipality from 1989 through 2010. During that time he also served as a financial expert in the courts of the United Arab Emirates from 1994 to 1996, and as a manager of accounts audit office from 1993 to 2001. He has also participated as a member of various administrative committees and councils including those related to real estate acquisitions, judicial committees, and strategic budgets.

Arif has co-authored the following two books: “Government Administration” and “Calculating and Auditing Hotel Sales Fee in the Emirate of Dubai”. He is also a certified lecturer and has presented several lectures and courses in the financial and administrative fields. Arif is also a member of the Accountants and Auditors Association in the UAE and a member of the International Society of Certified Accountants.

Arif also obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1989 from the United Arab Emirates University. He holds a certificate from the Future Leaders Program, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. He has also obtained several different certificates, in the fields of administration, finance, excellence and strategy along with professional and leadership certificates. Arif was granted certificates of appreciation by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, for his nomination for the Dubai Government Excellence Program, Distinguished Employee category in the financial field, 2002 and 2006.

Arif has over the years been a member of various UAE government-level committees including the Financial Policy Coordination Council, the Real Estate Acquisition Committee, the Strategic Program Budget Management Committee for Governmental Entities, the Dubai Support Fund Committee, the Dubai Educational Land Allocation Committee, the Knowledge Fund Committee and various judicial committees. He has also been and still is a member of several committees within the institutional framework.
