“We are proud to receive such recognition from the Arab Producer’s Union. In the fifteen years since Dubai Media City was launched in 2001, we have always strived to be at the forefront of the development of a world class media industry. Of course, significant recognition must go to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who had the foresight to understand just how integral a fully functioning media industry is to the development of a modern state.

“We have sought to provide opportunities that may not have existed elsewhere. This is in no small part due to our growth into different sectors of media; advertising, film, production and printing, all of which cater to businesses right through the media value chain.

“Media is at the heart of any open and leading society, and the UAE media industry should be seen as a model for the region in the way that it has evolved, and continues to innovate. Our media industry champions innovation across the different sectors, whether it is the growth of new ventures, platforms, and ways of engaging with audiences.”

Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, and International Media Production Zone, are home to over 2,000 businesses operating right across the industry value chain from broadcasting to production, publishing to printing, in addition to social media, digital content generation as well as the advertising and marketing sectors.
