Ammar Al Malik is the Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group PJSC, the curator of Dubai's most vibrant business districts that have contributed to the city's diversified economic growth since 1999.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the technology and business development sectors, Ammar plays a pivotal role in shaping TECOM Group's strategic vision and contributing to Dubai's knowledge-based economy.

Ammar's role as the Group's Executive Vice President of Commercial includes Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Science Park, and Dubai Design District (d3). In addition, he leads the growth of Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource City, which together comprise TECOM Group's Tech Cluster, and has overseen its evolution into the region's leading hub for technology. Home to 4,000 tech giants, start-ups, and Fortune 500s, Dubai Internet City has solidified Dubai's position as a global centre for innovation for more than 25 years.

An avid proponent of digitally enabled business growth, Ammar has actively shaped the robust ecosystem at Dubai Internet City, which also includes synergies with TECOM Group's value-added hub services such as the in5 start-up incubator, which was launched in 2013 with a dedicated base at Dubai Internet City and has nurtured more than 1,000 success stories. Ammar also oversees TECOM Group's D/Quarters co-working platform, which includes flexible workspaces at the heart of Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City as well as Dubai Science Park, providing pathways for established and emerging tech talent to work, innovate, and connect in Dubai.

Ammar has held a variety of leadership positions since he joined TECOM Group in 2005. He began his career as a Strategic Planning Officer at the Dubai eGovernment Department after earning a bachelor's degree in e-commerce from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai. He holds an MBA from Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan and has expanded his professional horizons through INSEAD's International Directors and Executive Leadership Programmes.
