In 1999, Dubai Internet City was launched, writing a whole new chapter in Dubai's information technology industry and the knowledge economy. 364 days later, the site was open for business. We saw more opportunities to support Dubai's ever-growing business needs by launching Dubai Outsourced City in 2004. In November 2000, Dubai Media City was launched and is now the region's leading media hub.

We committed to establishing Dubai Production City in 2004 for the media production community. In 2005, Dubai Studio City was launched, providing the broadcast industries with a new place to develop homegrown content. Our world-class infrastructure and sound stages have attracted global TV franchises. 2001 saw the introduction of Dubai Knowledge Park, attracting the world's education, talent management, and training elite.

In 2005, Dubai International Academic City was born, cementing our track record in education. Dubai Science Park was launched in 2005, giving rise to a commitment to life sciences. The world of design took notice of the launch of Dubai Design District in 2013, establishing a dedicated home for design in Dubai. D3's creative community was launched in 2015, aiming to incubate young designers, art galleries, and studios.

In 2004, Dubai Industrial Park was born, catering to the manufacturing and industrial sectors of the UAE. Dubai Wholesale City was launched in March 2016, the world's largest wholesale trading hub. Dubai's geocentric location and unrivaled cargo infrastructure makes key markets, whether they are north, south, east, or west, easily accessible by air, land, or sea.

In 2013, in5 was born, our business innovation platform offering incubation centers across any industry sector. Launched in 2014, Axis is TECOM Group's business partners' services portal and allows users to confidently keep track of faster government, employee, and corporate services. In 2014, we continued our focus on building an innovation-driven economy and stimulating creativity with the announcement of the Innovation Hub.

All of our 11 business communities are ideally located across Dubai. We developed communities tailored to the needs of industry sectors to enable activities across the entire value chain. We deliver the right mix of commercial space and industry-specific products alongside ample provision of residential, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and education.
