DUBAI, UAE, 20 October 2025: Dubai Internet City, the leading technology hub in the MENA region and a member of TECOM Group PJSC, accelerated its efforts to foster cross-border collaboration and grow the digital economy through valuable engagements with global government and tech industry leaders as Knowledge Partner of GITEX Global 2025, held on 13-17 October in Dubai.
The region’s leading technology hub, Dubai Internet City championed knowledge exchange through engagements with high-level delegations comprising public and private sector leaders from Asia, Europe, and North America during the event, discussing pathways to strengthen the global digital economy. Further solidifying its commitment to international partnerships, Dubai Internet City also signed a strategic partnership with The Skolkovo Foundation (part of VEB.RF Group) to foster innovation and market expansion for innovative tech companies and start-ups.

Dubai Internet City’s strategic discussions during GITEX Global included meetings with delegations from Brazil and Canada to advance the global digital economy. The district’s leadership also held discussions with senior executives and policymakers from France, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, and India to attract talent, technologists, and innovators.
Dubai Internet City is home to 4,000 multinational corporations, innovative start-ups, and Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Meta, PayPal, Nvidia, and Oracle, in addition to more than 31,000 skilled professionals and 20+ R&D and Innovation Centres. Since its establishment in 1999, the district has nurtured the digital economy by uniting global leaders through its world-class ecosystem, which has added AED 100 billion to Dubai’s economy in the past 15 years and contributes towards 65% of the city’s technology GDP.
The district’s showcase at GITEX Global this year included tech innovators such as AI-enabled customer engagement specialist Wittify and AI-powered fitness trainer Kinestex. The companies are part of in5 Tech, the sector-specific vertical of Dubai’s leading incubator, in5, which has a dedicated centre at Dubai Internet City.
in5 was established in 2013 and supports start-ups and entrepreneurs in the technology, media, design, and science sectors. At Expand North Star, part of GITEX Global, in5 announced funding raised by more than 1,100 start-ups within its ecosystem has crossed AED 9 billion since its inception.
