  • More than 700 emerging and veteran professionals to receive training each year, contributing towards Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’

Himatrix Group, an industry leader providing research, manufacturing, quality, and infrastructure solutions, has launched its training centre at Dubai Industrial City, the region’s leading manufacturing and logistics hub and one of TECOM Group PJSC’s 10 business districts.

Himatrix Training Centre was inaugurated by Christer Viktorsson, Director General of the UAE’s Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) alongside Dr Rehab Al Ameri, Managing Partner at Himatrix Group; Nadeer Ali, Founder and Chairman of Himatrix Group; and Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President, Industrial at TECOM Group PJSC, on behalf of Dubai Industrial City. Representing an investment of AED 30.5 million, the facility aims to support and fulfil the UAE’s national objectives by fostering industrial expertise and knowledge-sharing through advanced hands-on training.

Dr Rehab Al Ameri, Managing Partner at Himatrix Group, said: “As the Managing Partner of Himatrix Group, I am honoured to inaugurate our new Technical Training Centre—a landmark investment in the future of our nation’s workforce. This centre will empower our brightest young Emirati talents with hands-on industrial skills across critical fields such as radiation technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, healthcare instrumentation, precision metrology, and security systems, alongside a range of other advanced industrial disciplines.

“By aligning our curriculum with the strategic needs of regulators we will play a pivotal role in executing national development plans. In doing so, we will nurture home-grown expertise, strengthen our existing workforce’s capabilities, and ensure a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals. I would like to thank everyone from our strategic stakeholders from Government and private sectors which supports us in our mission and special thanks to Dubai Industrial City for their continuous support in our journey to grow. Together, we are building the technical foundation for innovation, productivity, and prosperity for years to come.”

Nadeer Ali, Founder and Chairman of Himatrix Group, added: “Himatrix Training Centre is the realisation of a vision first set in motion in 2005—to establish a unique research and training centre based in the UAE. I am truly thrilled to see this vision come to life and excited to drive meaningful change in the field of training and development, together with the inspiring leadership of Dr Rehab Al Ameri.”

“Capacity-building is essential to nurture a skilled workforce, and the Himatrix Training Centre directly addresses the needs of emerging Emirati talent in the manufacturing sector,” said Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, on behalf of Dubai Industrial City. “We welcome such partners to complement Dubai Industrial City’s vision of enabling a robust and sustainable industrial sector, in line with the goals of Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.”

The Himatrix Training Centre will offer hands-on training programmes across key industrial sectors, including manufacturing, testing laboratories, and scientific instruments, in addition to artificial intelligence and system automation. The centre will leverage the operational environments of Himatrix Group’s business verticals, such as Matrix Pack, focused on manufacturing and Industry 4.0 and ICPRO, which is dedicated to plant automation, AI, and robotics, to provide practical training.

Himatrix Training Centre will train 720 professionals each year and initially offer programmes to stakeholders and national entities before rolling out open-to-all courses. Its location at Dubai Industrial City is anticipated to provide optimal access for trainees from across the UAE and reinforces Himatrix Group’s contribution to the Make it in the Emirates strategy, delivering tailored programmes rooted for emerging and veteran manufacturing industry professionals.

The centre builds on Himatrix Group's existing presence at Dubai Industrial City, where the company operates a state-of-the-art laboratory, the first of its kind in the region, focused on quality, material testing, and product conformity.

Launched by TECOM Group in 2004, Dubai Industrial City is home to more than 1,100 local, regional, and international customers as well as 350 operational factories, including industry leaders such as A.P. Moeller-Maersk, Al Khayyat Investments, and Neelkanth Cables. Located in proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, an Etihad Rail freight terminal, and key regional roadways, the district’s intelligent masterplan features six sector-specific zones to promote resource-sharing and the circular economy.

Dubai Industrial City is part of TECOM Group’s portfolio of business districts that include Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Science Park.
