TECOM Group receives British Safety Council Sword of Honour

TECOM Group recognised for commitment to world-class health and safety management standards

Dubai, UAE: TECOM Group, Dubai’s leading business enabler and member of Dubai Holding, was recently awarded the Sword of Honour by the British Safety Council (BSC), one of the world’s leading organisations in occupational health and safety evaluation.

The award represents the highest BSC award in the field of health and safety management, and follows a Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit TECOM Group was awarded by BSC earlier this year in recognition of commitment and efforts made by TECOM Group’s Board and senior management and its exemplary management of health, safety and environmental risks.

The Sword of Honour is awarded to institutions and companies that have policies and procedures in place that are in line with global safety, health and environment standards, and the British Safety Council carries out a detailed audit procedure to determine eligibility for the award.

Saleh Ali Albalooshi, HSE Director, TECOM Group, attended the awards ceremony in London to receive the trophy.

The British Safety Council (BSC) has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the policies and procedures for safety in TECOM various business communities in addition to management systems, excellence, innovation and best practices. BSC model seeks to improve safety performance; provide an ideal working environment for employees; reduce accidents and injuries and cost, and enhance the status of the institution, which contribute to improved productivity and operational performance.
