Dubai, UAE, 16 October 2023: Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), the region’s definitive fashion fixture co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and Arab fashion Council (AFC), concluded last night after seven days and more than 25 shows from designers across the region, Europe, US, Central America and Asia.

MICHAEL CINCO Michael Cinco's vibrant collection was an ode to the rich tapestry of Spanish culture. The looks exuded the passionate spirit of flamenco dancers and the timeless elegance of matadors. With a vivid colour palette and sophisticated embellishments, this fusion of influences encapsulated the essence of Spanish heritage and the enduring allure of Mediterranean architecture. The refinement of capes, embroidered fabrics, oversized epaulettes adorned with sparkling stones, and see-through intricately pleated fabrics told a shared story. Short fiery red and black blazers made bold statements with their intricate details, while corsets, skirts, and short playsuits harmonized seamlessly with the collection's full spectrum. These pieces not only reflected the symmetry and firm architectural lines but also maintained the spirit and elegance that we witnessed throughout the show.

RIZMAN RUZAINI On the closing day of Dubai Fashion Week, renowned Malaysian designer duo to the stars, Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil, unveiled their collection of 60 exquisite looks. These designs adorned international models, including beloved Malaysian favourites, Tinie and Deedee Nash. The show reached its crescendo when world-renowned supermodel and culture icon Naomi Campbell graced the runway, donning a magnificent handmade gown adorned with thousands of glistening gemstones. This collection drew inspiration from the enchanting tale of Seri Gumum, a legendary dragon that once roamed the dark waters of Lake Chini. The designs boasted ornate beadwork and sequins, with a colour palette spanning from turquoise and chromatic rose gold to burnt orange, silver, and the designer's trademark deep black. Each piece exuded elegance, featuring beaded fabrics, graceful ostrich feathers, and dramatic chiffon drapes. Additionally, traditional Malaysian Songket weaving paid homage to the nation's rich heritage.
