11 October 2023
Press Release

Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), the region’s definitive fashion fixture co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and Arab fashion Council (AFC), continues.

PIPATCHARA*SUSTAINABLE

Pipatchara’s “The Eternal Symphony” collection did not shy away from redefining sustainable luxury. With 30 looks of micro-plastic aesthetics created with advanced 3D laser cut, new exquisite sparkling limitless jewellery, and contemporary weaving signature, this collection managed to display new scopes of modern lifestyle designs. The collection’s signature symbol in blooming flowers and a colour palette of green, black, white, crystal and silver celebrated a harmony of responsible lavishness.

LILI BLANC

The “Shades of Lili” collection was another milestone in the journey of Lili Blanc. The beauty of all types of lilies inspired the designer to give us inclusive looks dominated by femininity, fresh life and birth. Exquisite fabrics, from elegant drape of crepe to the shimmering and translucent organza, the versatile, wrinkle-resistant quality of jersey fabric and of course vegan leather all came together to make a statement about a woman’s confidence and ultimate strength. The runway came alive with clean-cut ensembles featuring well-defined shoulders, playful outfits, and sleek silhouettes with an empowering presence of black and electric colours.

WEINSANTO *DFW MEMBER

Weinsanto's thought-provoking pieces reflected his unique perspective on both art and life. With a carefully curated colour palette consisting of camel, white, beige, and occasional hints of black, deep green, or raspberry, the collection conveyed a sense of melancholic drama inspired by the concept of "A Perfect Day." The models graced the runway in an array of silhouettes, wearing slingback and platform heels, while showcasing elegant ensembles in nude colours, chic black and white outfits reminiscent of cowboy-style skirts, and city shorts paired with crisp white shirts adorned with ties. The evening looks elevated in sophistication, featuring a selection of bustier corset tops paired with oversized pants, some of which were uniquely corseted at the hips. Not to forget the reimagined wedding dress made of distressed denim, embroidered lace with scalloped edges. The couture collection masterfully translated the designer's perspective into a striking "vase dress," constructed as a full-body corset adorned with crin fabric and interspersed with pot-pourri petals, embodying the essence of Weinsanto's artistic vision.

LAMA JOUNI

A designer who's reimagining the concept of a versatile wardrobe unveiled her collection today, reaffirming her brand's commitment to female empowerment. The collection embodies the essence of a delicate yet resolutely strong woman. Featuring a palette that balances classic black with vibrant hues like electric green, fuchsia, and blue, the collection showcased sheer fabrics, stylish cut-outs, and statement blazers paired with striking panta shoes to elevate the overall look. The runway witnessed a variety of blazers, both fitted and oversized, while models accessorised with hair bonnets, ensuring that all eyes remained fixed on the captivating designs and the vibrant colors that illuminated the stage.
